PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

Amanda Nye has over 30 years’ experience practicing domestic and international trademark law, and in helping her clients register, protect and maintain their trademarks and their brands worldwide. She represents both US clients and clients from abroad, seeking trademark registration and protection in the US. She is an experienced trademark prosecuting attorney, having practiced for three years as an Examining Attorney in the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Amanda’s career began as an Examining Attorney in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where she practiced for three years as an Examining Attorney. Following the USPTO, she entered private practice.

For twenty years, Amanda practiced with one of the premier IP boutique firms in New York City and then the premier southeastern full service international law firm in Atlanta. Following these twenty years, she opened her own law firm where she continues to practice domestic and international trademark law. She is located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Amanda has counseled and managed the brands and trademark portfolios of:

•venture capital companies 

•start-up companies and 

•individuals 

She practices in a wide range of fields including cosmetics and beauty products, pharmaceuticals, entertainment, toys, footwear and clothing, food and beverages, and online educational services.
